Rebranding
Products which were produced and labelled in conformity with national law before Ukraine-EU Association Agreement (Association Agreement) entered into force but which do not comply with the requirements of the Association Agreement, may continue to be sold until stocks run out.
Products which were produced and labelled, in conformity with domestic law, with GIs, listed below after the Association Agreement entered into force and before the termination of the periods referred below, but which do not comply with the requirements of the Association Agreement, may continue to be sold in the territory of the Party where the product originated until stocks run out.
For a transitional period of 10 years from the entry into force of the Association Agreement, the protection pursuant to the Association Agreement of the following geographical indications of the EU shall not preclude these geographical indications from being used in order to designate and present certain comparable products originating in Ukraine:
Champagne, Cognac, Madeira, Porto, Jerez /Xérès/ Sherry, Calvados, Grappa, Anis Português, Armagnac, Marsala, Malaga, Tokaj.
For a transitional period of seven years from the entry into force of the Association Agreement, the protection, pursuant to the Association Agreement, of the following geographical indications of the EU shall not preclude these geographical indications from being used in order to designate and present certain comparable products originating in Ukraine: Parmigiano Reggiano, Roquefort, Feta.
