History

Experts from all over Ukraine, united by the EU Project "Support to the Development of a Geographical Indications System in Ukraine”, which operated in Ukraine September 2017 - May 2021 became the founders and the first members of the Organization. After the completion of the Project, we continue to work on developing a system of geographical indications in Ukraine in the NGO form.

Our Vision

We are convinced that geographical indications are important. The traditions and culture of Ukraine are embodied in GIs products.

Our team

Olena Nazarenko
President

Olena is an GIs expert. Member of the Expert Commission for approval of GIs product specifications (Ministry of Economy of Ukraine). National expert for GI trade, Nation legal expert in the EU Project "Support to the development of a geographical indications system in Ukraine" (2018 - 2021).
Olena has extensive experience in teaching EU Law and International law as well as various trainings. PhD in Law, Associate Professor. Author of more than 50 scientific and methodological publications, including "Geographical indications: manual for registration, control and development of an oeno-gastronomic routes” 2021.
Olena Motuzenko
Board Member

President of the National Wine and Food Tourist Network “Roads of Wine and Taste of Ukraine". National GIs expert for food, TSG and gastronomic tourism in the EU Project "Support to the development of a geographical indications system in Ukraine" (2018-2021); expert on oenogastronomic tourism of the National Tourist Organization of Ukraine (2016 - 2022).
Associate professor, the head of the scientific and practical topic "Geographical indications and their role in the development of oenogastronomic tourist destinations" (2019-2024) in Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University (Department of Geography of Ukraine). Author of more than 100 scientific papers.
Natalia Kameneva

Natalia is one of the leading experts in sensory analysis of food products in Ukraine. Head of the Educational and Scientific Laboratory of Sensor Analysis, Professor of the Department of Wine Technology and Sensory Analysis in Odessa National Academy of Food Technologies. Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Associate Professor, author of more than 60 scientific and educational papers.
Natalia was a national expert for oenology in the EU Project "Support to the Development of a Geographical Indications system in Ukraine".
Oksana Tkachenko
Board Member

Oksana is one of the leading wine experts in Ukraine and abroad. Head of the Department of Wine Technology and Sensory Analysis in Odessa National Academy of Food Technologies, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor.

Alina Sholokhman
Board Member

Executive Director of Association “Ukrvodka”. National expert for wines and aromatized wine products in the EU Project "Support to the development of a geographical indications system in Ukraine" (2018 - 2021).
Lawyer, project management specialist. Alina has 15 years of experience in the field of alcoholic beverages.
Eugenia Nikolaychuk

Eugenia is a wine expert, has a prestigious international qualification Diploma level 4 from the British school WSET. Co-owner of Wine Bars “Like a Local’s”, which promotes local Ukrainian wines. National Expert for wines in the EU Project "Support to the Development of a Geographical Indications system in Ukraine" (2017-2019). Author of the board game about wine "Winespiration Game". Judge of tasting competitions.
